Hardball’s Rightward Tilt

Media Matters has done an excellent study that confirms what many of us have suspected: That MSNBC’s Hardball is taking a decided swerve in the conservative direction and, putting aside the recent tendency of host Chris Matthews to proffer way too many right-wing talking points as fact, this story's got the numbers to prove it.

Take a look at this graphic showing how the majority of Hardball guests in the first two months of 2006 have been conservative.



I’ve noticed that in watching entire shows where not one progressive commentator or pundit makes an appearance. I admired the way Matthews manhandled the Swift Boat Liars in 2004 and called them out on their charade many times, but he needs to clean up his act or move to Fox News.
