GOP Staff Assaults Constituent for Asking Questions

In a turn of events that's shocking even by Republican standards, a Virginia man has been assaulted by the campaign staff of GOP Senatorial candidate George Felix Allen for asking questions at a campaign appearance that they found unacceptable.

Mike Stark, a first-year law student at the University of Virginia, a resident of Virginia and a former Marine, was wrestled to the ground by Allen's staff when he tried to ask the Republican Senator questions about his mysterious arrest record.

Video from a local television station shows a peaceful Stark surrounded by at least four people wearing Allen stickers and, despite showing no resistance or violence towards his attackers, being pushed several times, grabbed around the neck in a headlock and thrown to the ground near a large plate-glass window, narrowly escaping serious harm.
