Edwards to Announce Presidential Run Tomorrow

It's been leaked via an accidental early launch of his campaign web site that former North Carolina Senator John Edwards will announce tomorrow that he is in the running to be the next President of the United States.

Edwards will formally make the announcement sometime Thursday morning in New Orleans’ 9th Ward, which was almost destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and which to many epitomizes the "Two Americas" message articulated by Edwards in his 2004 campaign.

“Better a day earlier than a day late,” said Edwards adviser Jennifer Palmieri, in response to the leak of the information today.

This is good news and it's great to see Edwards willing to step up to the plate and commit now, versus waiting to see what everyone else is going to do.

Next year is going to be a very exciting time politically and it just got a bit more interesting.
