The Candidates Speak: Edwards On Nevada Culinary Union

Here's John Edwards with a message of support for the Culinary Union's efforts to negotiate a fair contract for their workers in Nevada. Their current contract expires in a little over two months.

Key passage: "We have over 37 million people living in poverty in this country and one of the most important things we can do to lift families out of poverty is to allow them to join unions, allow them to collectively bargain so that they can get fair pay and fair benefits. The truth is, that the entertainment industry in Las Vegas has been booming, it's doing extraordinarily well and all we want to do is make sure that our brothers and sisters in the Culinary Union get their fair share from that."
