Senate Passes 9/11 Commission Recommendations
Just moments ago, the United States Senate approved the recommendations of the bipartisan, 9/11 Commission for enhancing homeland security against terrorism.
S. 4, formally called the Improving America's Security by Implementing Unfinished Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007, passed by a vote of 60-38 with all dissenting votes coming from the Republican side of the aisle.
The legislation had already passed the House of Representatives in January.
