Today In The Senate

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to a period of morning business for up to one hour, with the time equally divided and controlled between the two Leaders, or their designees.

Following morning business, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of H.R. 6049 (Tax Extenders Legislation). There will be 60 minutes for general debate on the bill, equally divided and controlled between the Leaders or their designees.

The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

The first vote of the day is expected to occur prior to the caucus luncheons and additional votes will occur in the afternoon.
