CNN: Obama Won

A poll of debate watchers taken by CNN/Opinion Research Corp. immediately after the third and final presidential debate Wednesday night shows Barack Obama as the clear winner, 58 percent to 31 percent, over John McCain.

And in a debate in which McCain absolutely had to do something big to reverse the course of his Titanic-like campaign, the Republican nominee actually lost ground with his favorable rating going from 51 percent before the debate to 49 percent after.

Meanwhile, the number of respondents rating Obama favorably went from 63 percent before the debate to 66 percent after.

But McCain did win one poll Wednesday night… When debate watchers were asked about "who spent more time attacking during the debate," McCain got the nod handily with 80 percent thinking he was the nastiest debate participant.

So he's got that going for him.
