And Bush Say's We're Winning The War On Terror?

Now we know why the State Department wants to stop publishing statistics on global terror. The news isn't good and, for the trillionth time, the world calls into question the credibility of the Bush Administration.

The AFP news agency cites CIA numbers that show the number of global terrorist acts tripled in 2004.

"I think we are winning the war on terror but it is a very long struggle," said State Department Counselor Philip Zelikow.

We haven't heard this kind of spin since the Iraqi Information Minister proclaimed that there were no American soldiers in Baghdad as U.S. Marines waved at the cameras from behind him.

What an administration: You screw up the Iraq war in its entirety and get the Medal of Freedom; Terrorists get away with three times as many attacks and you say you're winning the war against them.
