Please Donate To Hurricane Relief

Politics has, to a large extent, been preempted by Hurricane Katrina. While many made it out before the massive storm hit, the poorest in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama were forced to stay behind because they simply did not have the resources – such as a car – to leave.

When you look at the pictures coming out of the affected areas, you understand that this is truly one of the biggest natural disasters in our country's history and one that will have an impact on millions of people.

While thousands of volunteers may be needed there in the coming weeks, my understanding is that money is needed more than anything right now. Please donate to the American Red Cross – any amount is appropriate, as every little bit will help.
