Bush Fantasy Versus Reality

Here's George W. Bush in a speech yesterday:

"Getting rid of Saddam Hussein was the right decision, and the world is better for it."

And in a speech on Monday:

" I made the right decision to get Saddam Hussein out of power."

And here's some numbers from the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll taken October 28-30:

Do you think that removing Saddam Hussein from power was or was not worth the number of U.S. military casualties and the financial cost of the war?

Worth it: 36% Not worth it: 54%

Do you feel more confident or less confident that the war in Iraq will come to a successful conclusion?

More confident: 27% Less confident: 61%
