Democratic Voters Being Threatened in Virginia

I knew the Republicans would bring it heavily today, but even I didn’t think it would be this blatant.

Have a listen to an answering-machine message received by Democrat Timothy Daly in Virginia yesterday:

Daly has been registered to vote in Virginia since 1998 and has voted for the last several election cycles with no problem. The Virginia State Board of Elections confirms that the calls do not come from them.

"Voters should not be intimidated or deceived by phone messages purporting to be from election officials," Said Jean Jensen, secretary of the Virginia State Board of Elections. "Any communication from federal, state or local election officials will always be in a written form clearly identifying the official source."

The FBI is investigating but I think we all know it will be a very short search to discover where these calls are coming from -- no matter what Republicans and/or the campaign of George Felix Allen say.
