Nine Who Won’t Debate Iraq War

Here are the nine Republicans who were the only votes opposing a full Senate debate on S.J. Res. 9, the United States Policy in Iraq Resolution of 2007:
  • Allard (R-CO)
  • Bond (R-MO)
  • Bunning (R-KY)
  • Coburn (R-OK)
  • DeMint (R-SC)
  • Enzi (R-WY)
  • Hatch (R-UT)
  • Inhofe (R-OK)
  • Thomas (R-WY)
And bear in mind, this isn't even a vote to close debate -- where Republicans will undoubtedly filibuster to kill the binding legislation over the next few days -- it was simply a vote to begin talking about it.

While I realize that I have a better chance of scoring a hot date with Scarlett Johansson than we have of getting a Democratic Senator elected in Wyoming (Enzi) or Oklahoma (Inhofe), are we hunting for a 2008 candidate to oppose these dinosaurs yet?
