Warner Up By 30 Points In Virginia

From our Holy Crap(!) department, comes a piece this morning in the Washington Post showing Democrat Mark Warner with a whopping 30-point lead over former Governor James Gilmore in the race to take over the Virginia Senate seat being vacated by Republican John Warner, who is retiring after the current term.

A Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted September 18-21 showed Warner with a 61 percent to 31 percent lead over Gilmore and leading in every region of Virginia.

Warner, who is also a former Virginia governor, will be a key pickup in raising the Democratic majority's margin in the Senate for the next Congress and will keep a guy like Gilmore, who has vowed if elected to vote to confirm Supreme Court justices willing to overturn Roe v. Wade, out of the U.S. Senate.
