Republican Smith Misleading Oregon Voters

Wow, you would almost think from looking at this ad that Oregon's Democratic Senator Ron Wyden supports Republican incumbent Gordon Smith, wouldn’t you?



They even use Wyden's signature to make it look somewhat official. Nice touch.

Of course, the reality is that Wyden strongly supports Democratic challenger Jeff Merkley and not George W. Bush's rubber stamp, Smith:



But one thing's for certain: Republicans know the only way they can get reelected this year is to get close to Democrats to gain some legitimacy.
