CBS Poll Says Bush Detached From Reality

Well, here's a poll that doesn't surprise any of us on the intelligent side of the aisle. A CBS News poll released today shows that 61 percent of Americans believe President Bush does not share their priorities.

Meanwhile, the poll also shows Bush with a low, 46 percent approval rating and 60 percent of respondents saying the country is on the "wrong track."

A large majority (62 percent) disapprove of the way Bush is handling Social Security, while 57 percent said things are going either "very badly" or "somewhat badly" in Iraq.

The complete poll (pdf file) is here.

Let's hear White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan spin this.
