Another Grim Milestone In Iraq
The number of United States military deaths in Iraq surpassed 1,800 yesterday with the deaths of seven Marines.
Six Marines died while fighting Monday in Haditha, 140 miles northwest of Baghdad, while another Marine was killed by a car bomb 50 miles southeast of Haditha in the volatile Euphrates River valley.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
