Carville Makes Novak Melt Down On CNN

Man, I love James Carville.

Please go to Crooks and Liars to see a very special video of my 1992, Clinton-Gore mentor, James Carville, making treasonous columnist and conservative pundit Bob Novak melt down on CNN yesterday afternoon.

After Novak tried to steamroll James so he could keep pontificating, the following exchange took place:

Carville: You've gotta show these right-wingers some kind of backbone, you know, the Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching, you show them you're tough.

Novak: I think that's bullshit and I hate that...Just let it go

At that point in his little tantrum, Novak got up and stomped off the set.

FishbowlDC reports that CNN has sent Bobby to the corner for a timeout.

"Bob Novak's behavior on CNN today was inexcusable and unacceptable. Mr. Novak has apologized to CNN, and CNN apologizes to its viewers for his language and actions. We've asked Mr. Novak to take some time off," a CNN spokeswoman told FishbowlDC.
Finally, the show's host closed with this statement:
"Thanks, James Carville. And I’m sorry as well that Bob Novak left the set a little early. I had told him in advance that we were going to ask about the CIA leak case, he was not here for me to be able to ask him about that. Hopefully, we’ll be able to ask him about that in the future."
Boy, Novak's part in the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame must really be exerting some heat on him. In addition, you've also got to think that such a petulant and career-limiting move on live television would only happen if Novak was looking for an excuse to depart before he could be questioned about that case.

Let the indictments begin!
