Katherine Harris Says Media Doctored Photos

Congresswoman Katherine Harris, who led Florida's charge back to the Jim Crow days of vote suppression in the 2000 presidential election, lashed out at the media this week for allegedly altering photos of her to ridicule her appearance.

Harris, 48, pictured above giving a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, said newspapers “colorized” pictures of her to distort the extent of her famed makeup use.

“I'm actually very sensitive about those things, and it's personally painful,'' said Harris, who is now running for the U.S. Senate. “But they're outrageously false, No. 1, and No. 2, you know, whenever they made fun of my makeup, it was because the newspapers colorized my photograph.”

Despite there being no evidence whatsoever to substantiate Harris's charges, the Yellow Dog Blog condemns any media outlet that shows fraudulent pictures meant to demean such a sensitive, honest and ethical woman.
