Report: Bush To Have Grieving Mother Arrested

Cindy Sheehan: National Security Threat

Cindy Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son Casey was killed in Iraq last year, will reportedly be arrested on Thursday if she does not abandon her protest outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch.

Sheehan has said that she will remain outside the Bush compound in Crawford until Bush meets with her to explain why her son perished in a war based on lies.

David Swanson, of Daily Kos, reports that he got a call today from Sheehan, who said that she's been informed that beginning Thursday, she and her companions will be considered a threat to national security and will be arrested.

Sheehan has said she will allow police to arrest her.

I don't believe it's going to happen. Is it because I believe that not even as craven a group as the Bush administration would have the mother of a dead American soldier arrested?

No, that's not it – no matter the slime level, they'll do it.

It's because, even as bad as they are, Team Bush doesn't want the world to see pictures of a grieving soldier's mother shackled and arrested. So you better believe they're working hard in the Bush bunkhouse to figure out what to do about this PR nightmare.

I wish Bush would just meet with Cindy Sheehan. Maybe he would learn something about true character and courage.
