Peter Jennings Has Passed Away

Peter Jennings, 67, the longtime anchor of the ABC Evening News has died of lung cancer.

To many of us, Jennings' best work was done before he took the anchor chair at ABC as one of the best reporters in network news.
He was a wonderful foreign correspondent, became an expert on the Middle East and won a Peabody Award for a 1974 profile of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.

He was old school – a throwback to the days when journalists still asked the hard questions and demanded answers.

He will be missed.
