No More Reaching Across The Damn Aisle: Reason Number 312

These people hate us and everything we stand for. To see a perfect example of what the modern Republican is like, you need look no further than radio talk-show host Mark Williams, who is the latest conservative mouthpiece making the rounds on television news and debate shows.

Williams, the piece of trash who first caught our attention bashing Cindy Sheehan last month, appeared on ShowBiz Tonight last week and didn't hold back with his Republican spin on the people trapped at the Superdome in New Orleans.

"They didn't have the necessary brains and common sense to get out of the way of a Cat 5 Hurricane and then when it hit them- stood on the side of the convention Center expiring while reporters were coming and going," spewed Williams.

Democratic strategist Morris Reid, who had been brought on to counter Williams, gamely tried to shut him up but, like many people who go up against the right-wing blowhard, are so shocked at his overt idiocy that they become speechless.

"That's just sickening---that is atrocious what you are saying," was the best Morris could say in the face on Willams' insane ramblings.

If you haven't just eaten a full meal – or if you have a strong stomach -- go to Crooks and Liars to see the full clip.

Willams in one of the Republican party's new go-to guys. This is the kind of person we are up against as we fight for the soul and future of our country.

Are you reaching across the aisle to someone like this?
