Bush's NY Approval Rating At 29 Percent

I like living in New York for many reasons but, as a political person, I find daily comfort knowing I live in one of the most clued-in places in the country.

So it's no surprise to me that a Quinnipiac University poll taken September 26 through October 2 shows that a scant 29 percent of New York residents give George W. Bush a passing grade for how he's doing his job. Bush's approval rating was 61 percent with New York Republicans, while it bottomed out at just 9 percent among Democrats.

Note to that 9 percent of Democrats approving of Bush's job performance: Just say 'no' to drugs before participating in a presidential poll.

Now let's hang those approval numbers around Michael Bloomberg's neck in the New York City Mayoral race.
