Reid Reaches Across Aisle; Hand Urinated On Again

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid was once again rebuffed by Majority Leader Bill Frist when he made the unwise attempt at yet another compromise in the filibuster showdown.

Reid offered to allow Senate lawyer Thomas Griffith to go to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in an attempt to mollify Frist and the Republicans.

"We want to move forward and demonstrate our goodwill," said Reid. "Let's try cooperation, instead of confrontation."

Frist, who doesn't seem to care that the 44 Democratic Senators actually represent more Americans than do their conservative counterparts, promptly rejected that offer. He then reiterated his final offer to Reid – that Democrats better bend over, take it, and confirm everyone Bush has nominated.

Harry, Harry, Harry.

Sigh.

Now are you done reaching across the aisle to these people?
