It’s Done – Alito Is On Court

Just minutes ago, the Republican-controlled Senate confirmed Samuel Alito to replace Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court. The final vote was 58-42, with Republican Lincoln Chafee voting against Alito’s confirmation and four “Democrats” – Byrd, Nelson (Ben), Johnson and Conrad – voting for the ultraconservative Harriet Myers replacement.

More later but, for now, I have a question for abortion-rights groups that have a policy of endorsing pro-choice Republicans: How many of them just screwed you?
