Number of American Idiots Holding Firm at 39 Percent

Continuing a trend started in 2005, a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday showed that 39 percent of Americans are blithering idiots. Cleverly disguised as a political poll, the survey shows that 39 percent of Americans approve of the job George W. Bush is doing as president.

BobGeiger.com is still investigating reports that the same 39 percent believe Paris Hilton should be the next Secretary of the Treasury.

The poll, taken February 9-12, 2006, shows that the majority of the country was unmoved by a series of repetitive Bush speeches on the Iraq war in December, culminating with an equally inconsequential State of the Union address last month.

In other poll results, a 55 percent majority say the war in Iraq was a mistake while just 31 percent say the United States and its allies are winning there. Almost 60 percent of respondents oppose the U.S. war with Iraq.

As we are accustomed to saying with Team Bush in power: Onward and downward!
