A Special Monday Check Of The Osama Clock

Hey, if it's Monday, it's time to check the BobGeiger.com Osama clock.

But today marks another sad milestone in George W. Bush's reign of error as it's now been 2,100 days since The Resolute One said that he would get Osama bin Laden dead or alive.

And despite American intelligence agencies' insistence that al-Qaeda and its leadership are the biggest terrorist threat to the United States -- and Cowboy George's wild-west threat -- Bush's true resolve was really very temporary. Six months after his empty dead-or-alive warning, our tough-talking Commander-in-Chief told the nation that "I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him to be honest with you."

And under the Republicans, we've focused on the pointless war in Iraq, while the Taliban gets its mojo back in Afghanistan and al-Qaeda continues to pick up steam elsewhere in the world.

And so, as we ask every week -- and especially after another bloody month for our troops in the Iraqi civil war -- Mr. Bush: Where's Osama?
