Yellow Dog Not Distracted By Roberts

After sleeping on my initial comment last night about President Bush's nomination of John Roberts Jr. to replace Sandra Day O'Connor on the U.S. Supreme Court, I realized that, to some extent, we are playing right into Bush/Rove's hands.

Anyone with greater intelligence than a rutabaga realizes that this was a rushed choice intended by Bush to get the media – and that includes bloggers – to remove our focus from his treasonous Deputy Chief of Staff.

Therefore, it shall be the policy of the Yellow Dog Blog that we will not discuss the Roberts nomination until at least one week from today, July 27. The U.S. Senate is about to go on summer recess and confirmation hearings will not even begin until after Labor Day. This gives us plenty of time to look into Judge Roberts.

Meantime, we will continue to focus like a laser on the fact that the closest person to the President of the United States intentionally disclosed the identity of a covert CIA operative and is under investigation by a grand jury in Washington.

He is a traitor to his country. You said you would fire anyone caught doing this, Mr. President.
Rove has been caught. Fire him.
