Melanie Morgan: Coulter's Twisted Sister

GOP talking robot Melanie Morgan appeared on MSNBC's Hardball last night and, in addition to spewing the usual Republican misinformation about Iraq, she went after Cindy Sheehan as well. She continued the conservative swift-boating of Sheehan by – what else? -- questioning her patriotism because of statements she's made against the Bush administration.

“She said that Paul Wolfowitz makes her skin crawl. [She said] he is a murderous liar and George W. Bush is a terrorist. Are those the kind of words we should be using when we‘re at war?” said an aghast Morgan.

Now call me a Northeast Liberal, but I think it's a far greater offense to start a war by being those things than to call someone on being those things. Is someone who lies to promote a war in which people are killed a “murderous liar?” I'd give that a yes.

Would you call a man who is responsible for the deaths of over 100,000 people in another country a “terrorist?” I would say so – unless we reserve the word “terrorist” for those killing 3,000 Americans or less.

Morgan is also co-chairman of Move America Forward, a conservative organization that, as their web site declares, is ...”committed to supporting America’s efforts to defeat terrorism and supporting the brave men and women of our Armed Forces.”

Unless it involves telling them the truth or bringing them home, I would guess.

This group is planning a bus caravan they call the “You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy, Tour” and they expect to arrive in Crawford to bother Cindy Sheehan on August 27. I'll keep you posted on how that one's developing.

I bet Morgan can't wait to give Larry Northern a big hug for the good job he did running down all of those Camp Casey monuments with his truck.
