Bush’s State of The Union

Don’t forget to watch the president’s State of the Union speech tonight at 9:00 EST. I know it’s painful, but just drink a bottle of whiskey and hit yourself in the head with a hammer and it won’t be so bad.

And have some fun with it… Participate in an office or household pool in which you wager on the number of seconds it will take before Bush mentions September 11. You could also guess how many times he’ll use the word “freedom” or the phrase “global war on terror.”

Speaking of which – and I’m hoping you can keep a secret – did you know that, despite White House spokesman Scott “The Lyin’ King” McClellan thrilling us with macho sayings like “We do not negotiate with terrorists. We put them out of business,” worldwide terrorism has actually increased dramatically since 2001?

It’s true. And I’ll have the numbers to back it up along with Ross Perot-like charts and graphs for you tomorrow.
